In the video I diagnose the „SERVICE ENGINE SOON” light using an OBDii reader. The problem ended up being a bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor. This is an easy fix that takes less than a half an hour.

Is this sensor located in same place on my 99 Chevy Silverado that also has the 4.8 vortex? Sounds exactly like my problem. Seemed rough shifting gears earlier today on the freeway and a few times I smelled an odd odor when I first started truck. Then my service light just came on a minute ago.
Aside from that, only difference noted in the truck would be my a/c getting warm. Compressor is only a few years old. And I know it's overdue for adding freon. So just out of curiosity, could that low freon level cause my engine light to come on?

I've only ever found it OBD2 readers to have a trapezoid plug. Please explain how to plug one in upside down. Second I understand a catalytic converter equals a Redox reaction with the contaminants in the exhaust. Question is. . What does a Cadillac converter do. Still looks like a pickup at the end of the video.
Very good I just had one of mine done at the shop and the next one I will do myself. I'm not sure if it needs it , but it is the one that you replaced on the driver's side . Thanks Keith Kuhn
